Do You Live In Amsterdam?

Mr. Mark Goodfella and I are going to be spending New Year’s Eve in the fair city of Amsterdam. So here’s your chance to tell us where to go…This is my third visit and we’re staying near Vondelpark, so I know my way around pretty well, but if there’s a link, please include it! The only thing on my agenda right now is to go back to the zoo!
What are the hot clubs? Where can we see good live music? Who sells the fresh mushrooms? What’s the best sex show? Whats the best restaurant? What’s the new hot neighborhood? What’s the coolest coffeeshop? Who wants to buy me a drink?

Hi Rachel! I was planning on spending New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam as well (I live in Utrecht), but I will be going to Edinbirgh instead. Let me think about “the places to be”…

Since you are already at the Vondelpark… drop by the Piet Hotel (metres away from the park’s Flying Pig) for coktails around 7PM.

The best places in Amsterdam, in my opinion, are Paradiso, De Melkweg (both near Vondelpark), 11 (near Central Station) and OCCII (uptown) (though that last one might be a bit gay :)). I think their new year’s parties are sold out by now, but maybe you got yourself some ticket getting connections, I don’t know.
