Idlewild - Love Steals Us From Loneliness

January 11th, 2005 by Rachelandthecity

Well, here’s another find from my trip across the pond. Maybe you’ve heard of the Scottish lads known as Idlewild before, but I have just recently become aquainted. It seems they used to be a punk band before they perfected their indie pop stylings. All I know is, man, what’s up with people from Glasgow and can someone send me some of their water?

Anyway, since I don’t know too much about these lads, here’s the facts: This track will be released on February 21st 2005 on 2 Track CD, Enhanced CD and Limited 7″ Vinyl. The follow-up to 2002’s hit album The Remote Part will be titled Warnings/Promises and is now confirmed for release on March 7th 2005!

And yes, that’s all copy and pasted straight from their website.

Great shout about Idlewild. Fantastic band. If you want to check out the punkier stuff they did take a listen to the Captain EP (the band a their most punkiest/raw) and ‘Hope is Important’(still raw but a lot more melodic). The latter has some great singles on it. If you want any of this get in touch. Also great site. Keep up the good work! TheDaveO (www.20six.co.uk/TheDaveO)
