Ardent Sessions: John Paul Keith and the One Four Fives

Lowlifi - Koma Suite

OK, lets talk about Netlabels. Netlabels are vast and quickly growing phenomena consisting websites that offer music to the public for free - primarily via mp3 downloads. It is an amazing way for those who wish to circumvent the recording labels but still gain attention for themselves. It has carved a new path for music, everything from bedroom producers to full fledged bands that grew weary of the big-money music machine and the controls it puts on artists.

On of the gems I have found is Lowlifi. A young bedroom composer that shows that all you need is the vision to create to take you forward - sans the contracts and dolled up, gleeming-toothed producers. Eric, the man behind Lowlifi, shows strong emotion in this track. Swelling melodies wisp you away with haunting vocals. His other works are laden with modernized exotica, tasteful ethnic vibes, a dash of blues and clever use of percussion. He’s got it all ! To find out more about Eric, his music and his take on Netlabels, read this.

So hop on over to his website, listen, and give this man some love.
