It’s strange that amid all the 80’s tracks I have to play for The Hi-Tone’s Beer Bust night (tonight, actually) that people will dance to Gwen Stefani and M.I.A., but shun most of the other newer tracks I want to play. LCD Soundsystem who? Fischerspooner how? !!! WTF? Which is why, hopefully, with this new Scenestars thing (What? You haven’t heard? We’re going to do a weekly DJ night at Murphy’s starting in July!) I’ll be able to experiment more and get into some mash-ups like the one above.

Party Ben is a San Francisco DJ (among other talents) with his own show, The Sixx Mixx on Live 105. He has many other mash-ups on his website. It’s fun stuff. Get into it.
