Vue - The Rest
Now here’s a band that has paid their dues. They started out in 1997 with the name The Audience releasing an LP on Hymnal Sound and a 7″ single on GSL. An English band of the same name decided that they had it first so The Audience (US) changed their name to Vue. They released another EP (Death of a Girl) on GSL and were then picked up by Sub Pop on which they released their self-titled full length in 2000. Subsequent releases on Sub Pop include the Find Your Home LP in 2001 and the Pictures of Me UK-only single in 2002. They were then picked up by RCA and released an EP, Babies Are For Petting in March of 2003. Shortly afterwards, May 2003, they finished their 3rd full length Down For Whatever. RCA has yet to release this album Stateside. Why? I mean, in August of 2003 Vue opened for The Rolling Stones. Yes. The motherfucking Rolling Stones.
So anyways, The Rest is from a Down For Whatever Japanese import that I got. You can actually find most of the songs from this album on their website, as well as mp3s from past albums and even some more unreleased stuff recorded in May of 2004.
Update - Song link fixed.
