Wolf Parade - I’ll Believe in Anything

July 27th, 2005 by Rachelandthecity

My internet boyfriend, Dodge, posted some tracks from Wolf Parade’s forthcoming album Apologies to the Queen Mary back in April. My initial response was an overwhelming meh. And this continues to be my overall impression, but after getting my greedy little hands on a few more songs off the highly anticipated September release, there are actually a couple of songs that I’ve been rocking quite a bit lately. Here they are.

Wanna know a secret? I’ve listened to the Arcade Fire once. And I’ve already forgotten what they sounded like. Don’t tell anyone, I wouldn’t wanna lose my indie cred! Anywho, some people seem to be impressed that one of the dude’s in Wolf Parade used to be in The Arcade Fire, and Spencer played on Frog Eyes’ first album, oh and this dude Issac Brock from some band called Modest Mouse produced their new record. Oh, and have I mentioned they’re from Montreal which is like the new Glasgow or some shit. Ok, the hype machine has run out of gas.
