Stream Three New Stereolab 7" Singles
With the passing of Bob Moog, it’s bittersweet reward to have these three new 7 inch singles by Stereolab in my possession. Stereolab know the sting of loss themselves, having lost Mary Hansen, a key member of their ensemble, several years ago. Through the long grieving process, Stereolab has continued to release music, and now we have the good fortune to hear six new tracks from my electronic super crush. Each of the three singles will be released on September 12th, their first since reconnecting with Too Pure/Beggars Banquet.
The singles, “Kyberneticka Babicka”, “Plastic Mile”, and “Interlock” each bear their own personalities within the framework of Stereolab’s extensive repertoire. Sunshine-laden horns, bleeps and blips from the Minimoog Voyager, and heavenly vocals offer strong evidence that Stereolab are still making vital music worth hearing. Click below to stream the singles, and pay particular attention to the song “Interlock”. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorites, and I find to be among the best tracks they have released to date. Shortly, these songs will be available both for purchase on vinyl and as buyable downloads. Enjoy.
