Imagination Head - Beautiful Question

May 21st, 2006 by Rachelandthecity

Quirky folk-rock outfit Imagination Head put on quite a show last Friday night when they opened for Walkie Talkie. Their set consisted of hula-hooping audience members, a bubble blowing time-out, some sort of miming sequence and a ring-girl with song titles. It was quite a spectacle. If the folks in Walkie Talkie weren’t obviously the nicest people in the world they might have been a little pissed off that they were totally upstaged by the opener.

Anyway, I’ve seen J.R., lead singer for Imagintion Head, a few times at The P&H in Memphis doing solo shows that are half music / half comedy shows and it’s always a fun time. It’s unfortunate that without seeing his live performance and his delivery you only get half of the joke. They’ve got plenty of downloadable tracks on their Myspace Profile. Be sure to check out the Age of Crap - which is totally hilarious ad-libbed live.
