Back in March I met Tapes ‘n Tapes at The Fader party during SXSW. Luckily, I had no idea who they were and had never seen them play, so it was no problem to drink Red Stripe and bullshit with them. I had no idea at the time that the “blogs” would soon help them score a record contract with XL. All I could think about at the time was that I couldn’t wait when I got back to Memphis to tell Jake Vest of Augustine that I had met his twin.
