Although calling local band Arma Secreta indie-rock is severely lacking in describing their sound, I fear calling them “emo” may incite hate mail (think Sunny Day Real Estate, not Dashboard Confessional). You can make up your own mind about what genre they fall under when they open for The Whigs next Wednesday night at The Hi-tone. Since a college radio push earlier this summer they’ve charted on the CMJ top 200 and are being played on nearly every college radio station in the country.

A distribution deal with Stickfigure will result in a national release for their debut album A Century’s Remains on Aug 29th and the band has regional tour dates planned with The Coach and Four in September. They also recently did an interview for Alternative Press that will be published in the September issue. In the meantime, they’ll start shooting the video for Segue/Debris this weekend and they’d love some help.
