Ted Leo Pics Plus A Shitload of Free MP3’s

Ted Leo is still touring his ass off, currently with Death Cab For Cutie. Check out his website for tourdates and his blog. Back in September I got to see him twice in one week, in Memphis at the Hitone and then a few days later at ACL. I got so busy getting my shit together to go to Austin that I totally forgot I had these pictures from the Memphis show. It was a wild evening, local favorite The Glass opened the show and everyone was really drunk. When I was chatting up Ted after the show, Brian Venable from Lucero rolled up and went off about why he didn’t like me because the first time I interviewed his band I said I didn’t want to do it if Ben Nichols couldn’t make it (he’s the freaking singer, of course, I want him there!!!) It was a pretty awkward moment. Then later on when I was standing outside The Hitone trying to take a picture of my friends with Ted, some dude rolled up and spit on me (long story). Man, I sure made an impression that night. Ted was super cool about it though and we chatted again at ACL.
