THE WILLOWZ PREPARE TO KICK OFF A SEVEN WEEK TOUR WITH THE DETROIT COBRAS

California rockers The Willowz have announced a summer tour with The Detroit Cobras. The band will bring their signature brand of west coast garage rock nationwide in support of their new album Chautauqua, which hit stores March 20th from Dim Mak Records.

Chautauqua is The Willowz’ third release and finds the band, composed of singer/guitarist Richie James Follin, guitarist Aric Christopher Bohn, bassist Jessica Anne Reynoz, and drummer Loren Shane Humphrey, churning out more than a dozen tracks of 60s and 70s inspired garage rock that has drawn enthusiastic press from critics at Rollingstone, Harp, SPIN, and High Times. Mellower than The White Stripes and more garage-rock than Led Zepplin, The Willowz’ sound brings garage rock from the 60s and 70s into the 21st century. The band’s revivalist sound converted filmmaker Michel Gondry as an early fan who featured the band in both The Science of Sleep and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and landed them spots sharing stages with New York Dolls, Wolfmother, Ted Leo, OK GO, the Gossip, and more. Now they’re gearing up to hit the road with Bloodshot Records’ group The Detroit Cobras with dates that kick off in Kentucky before winding through the Midwest, south, west, and back again.
