) Electrelane — No Shouts No Calls: I fell in love with this band and this record right before they broke up. I’m so bummed I never got to see them live.

2) Besnard Lakes — The Dark Horse: We toured like crazy with the Besnards. Sweet dudes, sweet jams, sweet album.

3) Panda Bear — Person Pitch and (4) Black Moth Super Rainbow — Dandelion Gum: Both these albums create strange sound worlds I get lost in for days. Dense and lo-fi and weird, but also incredibly tuneful and catchy.

5) Au Revoir Simone — The Bird of Music: A lovely set of songs from three lovely ladies. What a year the Simones have had! I was their merch-boy/bus driver for some bits of their incredible non-stop world tour. Total madness…
