“The top 5 things we have learned as a band in 2007″ By Alex Moore of Dappled Cities
January 7th, 2008 by Rachelandthecity
If you haven’t heard Dappled Cities‘ Granddance yet, you’re missing out on one of my favorite albums of 2007. Alex Moore sent me a short note I wanted to share with you about what the Australian band learned in 2007.
1) That sharing a studio apartment in New York City with 4 other dudes is about 5% fun and 95% painful.
2) That driving between Adelaide and Sydney, Australia, is a total pain in the arse.
3) That being in Dappled is awesome.
4) That the music world beyond Australia is massive. Moving to the USA totally opened our eyes.
5) That music is worth chasing. Even if you can’t afford new underwear or novelty souvenirs.
